Kita bisa memastikan, mukena model seperti ini pasti sangat mengundang perhatian orang. Apalagi
jika warnanya cerah, atau warna-warni berkilau. Sementara Nabi
shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam mengingatkan kita untuk menghindari
pakaian yang mengundang perhatian orang. Beliau bersabda:
مَنْ لَبِسَ ثَوْبَ شُهْرَةٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا أَلْبَسَهُ اللَّهُ ثَوْبَ مَذَلَّةٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
“Siapa yang memakai pakaian syuhrah di dunia, maka Allah akan memberinya pakaian hina pada hari kiamat.” (Ahmad, Abu Daud, Nasai dalam Sunan Al-Kubro, dan dihasankan Al-Arnauth).

As-Sarkhasi mengatakan:
والمراد أن لا يلبس نهاية ما يكون من الحسن والجودة في الثياب على وجه يشار إليه بالأصابع ، أو يلبس نهاية ما يكون من الثياب الخَلِقِ – القديم البالي – على وجه يشار إليه بالأصابع , فإن أحدهما يرجع إلى الإسراف والآخر يرجع إلى التقتير ، وخير الأمور أوسطها
“Maksud hadis, seseorang tidak boleh memakai pakaian yang sangat bagus dan indah, sampai mengundang perhatian banyak orang. Atau memakai pakaian yang sangat jelek –lusuh-, sampai mengundang perhatian banyak orang. Yang pertama, sebabnya karena berlebihan sementara yang kedua karena menunjukkan sikap terlalu pelit. Yang terbaik adalah pertengahan.” (al-Mabsuth, 30:268)
